  1. Emails were invented by Shiva Ayyadurai, a 14-year-old Indian boy in 1978.
  2. Today, almost 2.8 million+ emails are sent every second. 
  3. In 2015, the number of emails that circulated in the world was more than 205 billion per day.
  4. This figure increased throughout 2016 and 2017 and will grow even more. By the end of 2019, it will reach over 246 billion emails!
  5. According to Stats, after 24 hours, the chance of an email being opened is 1%.
  6. People spend 5.4 hours/day checking email.
  7. 60 percent of email is spam.
  8. Email checking causes stress.
