WhatsApp Banged After Diwali: All Services Down | The Reasons

So, WhatsApp is officially down. But the thing is why?

Maybe, when you are reading this article it's working fine. But, let us try to figure out what went wrong with WhatsApp. Let us go deeper.

The Reasons

According to some sources, Whatsapp is working on some new features to make the User Experience more intuitive. These updates include:

  1. A feature that will allow admins to delete messages for everyone in the group.
  2. New voice calling interface for beta testers.
  3.  ‘Hide Online Status’ and search ‘Businesses Nearby’ features.
  4. Allow users to choose a cover image on their profile, just like Facebook.
  5. Working on the beta version of dark mode for desktop users.
  6. Feature to let users view Status directly from the chat list, like Instagram's Stories.

Some of these features were already rolled out for some users globally.

Meta's Apology

Services of Meta-owned WhatsApp are currently experiencing disruption. Acknowledging the issue, a Meta spokesperson said the company is working to restore services 'as quickly as possible.'

"We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," the spokesperson said, as per Reuters.

The End Notes

That's all in this post. I hope the services will be regularized as soon as possible. Many businesses and users may get affected due to this. Whatsapp is everything for communication these days.

Have a good one. Cheers!
